kiku found totsuka and his team more than they found him. he's decided they need looked after, especially totsuka, and has decided that he's going to do that. so he keeps track of the team's wellbeing, more than anything, explaining clearly and succinctly when he believes they need to rest or get treated. ... he does not in fact do much to keep the lot of them out of trouble, though.
